A little about us and what we do...
The Dordogne Ladies Club was formed in 1986 to enable women from all walks of life to meet to form friendships, give support and raise money for local charities. Jennifer De Chabaneix's original idea was to create a club for English-speaking ladies of any nationality, making them welcome and that still holds true today. Current members from all over the world who now live in this region get together for social gatherings throughout the year. Annual membership is 25 euros.
Throughout the year there are a variety of activities in which you might like to join.
There are social gatherings every month, There are regular social events. These include:
- weekly coffee mornings where you can catch up with other members
- monthly guided walks around some of the most beautiful locations in our area
- a book club and a craft group.
- monthly lunches in different restaurants throughout the region, often with talks given by members or notable guests.
In addition we hold evening events and fun activities such as trips to the ballet in Bordeaux. An important part of what we do is to provide a friendship and support network for each other.
A Scenic Walk around Lalinde - Friday 11th June at 9.30am
A 8 km scenic walk starting and ending in Lalinde - Friday the 11th June at 9.30 am. Meeting in the car park in Lalinde behind the Marie. The 8 km circular route follows the canal out of Lalinde then uphill along scenic paths arriving back in Lalinde to finish. All welcome - donations on the day to the DLCI charities funds.
